Oskar Fallenius destined for exit as Rangers can seal deal for 'suitable' price
Oskar Fallenius looks likely to leave Swedish side Djurgarden this summer, with Rangers monitoring the situation.
Danny Rohl is keen to add quality to his flanks this summer, especially after opting against signing Andreas Skov Olsen permanently.
The Bears will try to re-sign Mikey Moore from Tottenham, but with no guarantees of a return, they will need to ensure they are not left short come the start of the season.
Gers have been tipped to beat Celtic in the race for Fallenius, though they may now face competition from elsewhere in Europe.
The 24-year-old has been impressing in Sweden for the past couple of seasons and looks ready to take on a new challenge.
Now, Djurgarden manager Jani Honkavaara has admitted that Fallenius' departure is inevitable if the right offer comes in, as Rangers wait to make their move.
Oskar Fallenius exit 'cannot be helped' if Rangers make reasonable offer
Fallenius was first linked to Ibrox in May, as speculation around the Swede has picked up in recent weeks.
Djurgarden will most likely take in less revenue than Rangers annually; therefore are at a disadvantage when it comes to keeping some of their best players.
In a recent interview, his manager, Hankavaara, admitted that if any club makes the right offer for the winger, he will be gone. The same goes for some of his teammates.
In response to a question on Fallenius' future, the Djurgarden manager said, as quoted by the Daily Record: "Quite a few will leave, and it can happen very quickly for a suitable fee. It cannot be helped."
The right-winger can play on either flank and is currently in the middle of Djurgarden's 2026 league campaign, which only started in April.
Though Celtic's interest appears to have simmered recently, the Bears have another fight against Wolfsburg on their hands, with the Bundesliga side said to be tracking Fallenius.
What does this suggest about Oliver Antman's future?
Djeidi Gassama is expected to play an important role for Rangers once more next season, as he's most likely to be first-choice right-winger.
Gers already have Oliver Antman on their books, and after a nightmare debut season at Ibrox, he could already be on his way out of Glasgow.
That's never been clearer than the links to Fallenius, who would most likely replace the Finnish star in his position.
The potential arrival of Fallenius would push Antman back down the pecking order, and a player who once had a stellar campaign before joining the Bears will not sit on the sidelines to accept that fate.
Antman's exit could be best for all parties, especially if Gers get their hands on Fallenius this summer.
