Danny Rohl may end up earning Rangers millions in the future after one last act carried out as manager.

The German boss is already set to land a near £2million windfall after compensation was agreed with Red Bull Salzburg.

The boss will leave Ibrox after less than eight months in the dugout, but his impact may be felt for years to come.

That is because something that he has done before his exit that could bring even more money to the Govan side.

The former Sheffield Wednesday man may not have left much of a legacy on the pitch, but it could be boosted if the Gers secure a multi-million windfall off it.

He has helped out the 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh, with a final parting gift from his time in G51.

What has Danny Rohl done to potentially secure Rangers millions?

Bailey Rice is set to sign a new deal with Rangers, warding off interest from the likes of Aston Villa, Ajax and Schalke.

The Daily Record claimed on Tuesday that Rohl was the reason that he has committed his future to the Gers.

It states that talks with the manager persuaded the 19-year-old that sticking put was the right decision, rather than leaving.

What's next for Bailey Rice?

With all the clubs interested in Rice, they may well test the waters with a bid in the near future.

With the player under contract for a few more years, that gives the Light Blues the power to negotiate a decent fee, rather than losing him on a free.

For now, though, the focus must be getting Rice back to match fitness, after he missed most of last season with injury.

He could be used as a backup option for Derek McInnes, if he takes charge as expected.

However, a better option could be a loan move, so that he can build up his fitness and get himself back into contention.

Working under former Gers players Neil McCann and Billy Dodds at Kilmarnock, following the Findlay Curtis route could be an option for the midfielder.

One thing is for sure, if the Gers do net a windfall for his services in a few years time, they will owe it to Rohl.
