Rangers have already identified their next priority to boost Derek McInnes' squad.

The Gers have been extremely active in the transfer window so far as they aim to give McInnes the tools to challenge for the Scottish Premiership.

Six players have already been signed during the window, and more are expected in the next couple of weeks.

Ivor Pandur has arrived from Hull City to become Rangers' new first-choice goalkeeper, while Ross McCrorie and Ben Godfrey add numbers in defence.

Dan Neil and Cammy Devlin arrived to bring some steel to the midfield, while Lawrence Shankland adds proven goalscoring ability up top.

But there is one priority in particular that Rangers are now set to focus on in the coming weeks.

Rangers have one clear issue to address in transfer window

The early stages of the window have seen Rangers address issues right through the spine of the team.

Goalkeepers, central defenders, central midfielders, and a striker have been added to really flesh out the nucleus of the team.

However, Andy Newport reported for the Daily Record that Rangers are now looking for more flair in the wide areas.

He wrote that Rangers' recruitment chief Dan Purdy has already been informed by McInnes that should be the next area of the team to target.

With a net outlay of around £4.7million so far, Purdy is expected to "splurge" the remaining budget on fixing the issue, Newport says.

What options do Rangers currently have out wide?

Rangers certainly struggled for consistency with their wide players last season.

Djeidi Gassama made a flying start after joining from Sheffield Wednesday in a £2million deal but his form tailed off.

Oliver Antman struggled with form and consistency, and much more will be expected of the 24-year-old old this time around if he is given the chance to do so.

Andreas Skov Olsen's loan from Wolfsburg has now ended, and Ross McCausland is back from a loan spell at Aris Limassol.

McCausland is expected to be evaluated by McInnes over pre-season, but evidently the plan is to bring new bodies out wide to Ibrox.

These are the signings that fans really get excited about.
