Daisuke Yokota's Rangers contract examined: Wages, duration and amortisation

The Japanese ace was the first winger signing to come through the door and was soon joined by further reinforcements.

It has been a mixed start in Govan as he is yet to score for the Light Blues.

What is Daisuke Yokota's Rangers wage?

The 2000-born attacker certainly has certainly picked up plenty of experience throughout his career.

He had already played in Latvia, Poland, Belgium and Germany before his move to Glasgow in the summer.

The winger must have caught the eye in G51 off the back of his one and only season with Hannover 96.

Having contributed to nine goals and assists 31 appearances, that's no surprise.

Rangers swooped in and tied him down to a three-year contract with the potential of a further 12 months.

As part of that, reports suggest that he earns a figure in the region of £10,000-per-week at Ibrox.

That equates to a yearly salary of approximately £520,000, ranking him towards the bottom of the wage bill compared to his teammates.

How much are Rangers paying per year for Yokota?

Having signed until the summer of 2029, the Gers can spread his cost across the space of the upcoming three years.

There is a suggestion that McInnes and Co. paid around £3million for his signature.

That could see his amortisation payments sit in the region of £1m-per-year.

That outlay will only increase for the Light Blues when taking into account his salary, bring it up to a yearly cost of approximately £1.5m.

With Yokota now set for a sizable spell on the sidelines, he is yet to prove if he'll be worth that.

He will hopefully get chance to prove himself and answer questions over whether he can succeed in Govan.
