Daisuke Yokota will become Rangers' next signing of the summer from Hannover 96.

Derek McInnes made a public plea for more attackers at Ibrox, and Andrew Cavenagh is set to deliver.

Rangers looked toothless in their Scottish Premiership opener against Dundee United, drawing 1-1.

Thelo Aasgaard scored and was man of the match, but Djeidi Gassama and Findlay Curtis didn't show enough.

So, Rangers have moved quickly for Yokota.

The Japan international is set to become the first Asian to represent the Light Blues, and it's happening quickly.

What is the latest on Daisuke Yokota and Rangers?

Yokota appears to be Glasgow bound.

Rangers are said to have booked his medical for Tuesday, but more details are starting to be revealed.

Florian Plettenberg reported on 4 August that Yokota has missed training after agreeing with Hannover.

The German reporter states that his move to Glasgow is now imminent.

What else could Rangers do this month?

Even with Yokota on the way in, McInnes is still far from being done in the transfer window.

Wingers are still on the agenda, as well as a central defender and left-back to bolster out the squad at Auchenhowie.

Rangers even bid £8million for Fares Gherdjemis on Tuesday, as they look to get their final third in order as soon as possible.
