Couhaib Driouech looks set to seal a transfer after his proposed Rangers move fell apart.

The PSV Eindhoven winger was in the stands for the Gers' draw with Jagiellonia on 13 August.

He had completed a medical and the formalities were expected to be completed.

However, the Light Blues apparently found an issue which would rule him out for around six weeks and the £7million deal collapsed.

The Dutch club denied that, and he has since been in training and was supposed to be back in their squad for the game against Groningen.

It appears that Derek McInnes' side's concerns were not correct, though, as he is set to move elsewhere.

Where is Couhaib Driouech going after Rangers deal collapsed?

Celta Vigo were supposedly trying to hijack the Bears' deal for the 24-year-old winger.

They are now leading the race to sign him, and a multi-million pound agreement has now been reached.

Jeroen Kapteijns reported on Sunday that a £6.8m deal was on the cards, although the player still has to sort personal terms.

It states that he already had a preference for the Spanish club, and that the "inspection soap opera" with the Gers is set to lead to a "positive outcome".

The Glasgow side have already moved on in their search for an alternative, so it seems all parties will eventually get what they want.

How do Driouech and Kim Min-su compare?

The G51 outfit have made their move for Kim Min-su from Girona, agreeing an £8.5m deal.

He is reportedly set to undergo a medical on Monday, with McInnes finally getting the winger that he has wanted for so long.

Kim notched six goals and four assists in 40 matches in LaLiga 2 last season, which is two more contributions than Driouech's total of eight.

Kim averaged 2.32 shots, 1.20 chances created and 3.82 touches in the opposition box per 90 minutes, according to Fotmob data.

Driouech averaged 3.52 shots, 1.90 chances created and 6.66 touches in the opposition box per game.

On the face of it, the Moroccan looks like the better player, but he is surrounded by better quality teammates, so the numbers may be unreflective of his actual level.

Kim may be the better option, though, because he managed more goal contributions and is four years younger.
