Richard Foster agrees with Peter Grant on Emmanuel Fernandez controversy after Old Firm drama
The Gers earned a second Old Firm triumph on the spin with a 1-0 win at Celtic Park on Sunday.
Ryan Naderi scored the only goal of the game as Derek McInnes' men cut the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership to just two points.
That followed the outstanding 3-0 success at Ibrox in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals the week prior.
Rangers have consequently won six games on the spin across all competitions and are riding the crest of a wave heading into the international break.
But were McInnes' charges fortunate not to end the match with 10 men with Emmanuel Fernandez in the thick of controversy?

No one can say with a straight face that Rangers did not deserve to win Sunday's showdown with their rivals.
In truth, 1-0 was not really a fair reflection of how in control Rangers were of the game against Celtic, who had no answer for a second week running.
But there was a heart-in-mouth moment when centre-back Fernandez avoided a straight red for a coming together with Camilo Duran.
John Beaton then opted not to show him a second yellow card after a challenge with Benjamin Nygren.
Former Celtic player Peter Grant, speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, is convinced that Fernandez should have seen red.
"Let's talk about Fernandez, he's lucky to still be on the pitch," Grant said.
"He was lucky with the first one. I watched the Rangers player at the side of him, he might be 20-30 yards from him.
"I think he gets fortunate with that one but definitely the second one it's a booking, 100% it's a booking.
"The referee knows if he gives a free-kick he's got to send him off. People will tell you it's early in the game, it's a Celtic-Rangers game you don't wnat to ruin it. But listen the rules are the rules you have to do it."
Former Rangers defender Richard Foster replied: "I think he's lucky he's still on the pitch.
"The first one, yellow card I'm okay with it. The second one when you see it, Nygren's running into the box, there are covering defenders, he could shoot from his touch. It's the definition of a promising attack.
"Why it wasn't a booking I've no idea. Peter's right, the fact it's early in the game makes no odds. If he's committed two fouls that are a booking, I don't know why he issued him a second yellow card.
"I saw it and I saw it again this morning. Bobby Madden was reviewing it, it's not often I agree with him (Grant), but it's a second booking."

Look, on a different day there is a good chance that Fernandez is walking, let's be honest.
But, Rangers have had their fair share of refereeing controversies go against them in the past, so it all evens up doesn't it?
The fact of the matter is, Rangers were by far the superior team on the day and were fully deserving of their win.
Did they ride their luck a little bit? Yeah, probably. But I mean it wasn't the worst controversy, it was all subjective and it went in Rangers' favour.
It's about time something like that did against Celtic.
