Stade de Reims manager Will Still has sent a three-word social media message to new deadline-day Rangers signing Nicolas Raskin, following his move to the Scottish giants.

The Gers announced (31 January) the signing of Standard Liege midfielder Raskin on a long-term contract after agreeing a deal with the Jupiler League club.

Raskin becomes the club's second January signing following the addition of Todd Cantwell from Norwich City earlier this month, and that is reportedly likely to conclude their winter business.

The 21-year-old had long been a target for the club, with Michael Beale looking to add further quality to his ranks and to add some youth.

And Reims manager Still, who previously worked with Raskin at Standard Liege during the 2021/22 campaign as the club's assistant manager took to Instagram [31 January] to send a three-word French message on Raskin's unveiling post.

He wrote: "Mais oui hein". It translates to: "But yes, eh", or "yes, of course".

Great addition

Finally Rangers have got their man and Raskin is a great addition to Beale's exciting squad at Ibrox.

The 21-year-old is the perfect profile for what he wants to bring to the Gers this month, Youthful exuberance, agility, technically gifted attributes and a player worthy of building a team around, the Belgian talent is just the tonic Rangers need in building a squad capable of consistently toppling Celtic in future.

Rangers

Considering his huge potential and his perfect match to Beale’s style at the club, we believe that Raskin is a stunning acquisition for the Scottish giants, and the perfect tonic for the club to go and acquire more talents to build towards a successful and sustainable future at Ibrox.

Getting a message from his former assistant coach will definitely the spur midfielder on to become an instant hit at such a prestigious and historic club. Rangers is the perfect environment for Raskin to continue his stunning development.
