Rangers ultras Union Bears held a demonstration outside the Parliament building to protest against the Scottish government.

According to The Scottish Sun, they unfurled a banner that took a swipe at Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP ahead of her addressing the parliament later today (January 11).

She is expected to make an announcement as to whether or not stadiums in the SPFL will be able to welcome back more than 500 fans on matchdays.

Good move

Fan unity is important in situations like these as the government is showing complete disregard to match-going supporters.

The restrictions in England are nowhere as stringent even though the cases there are significantly rising.

It's also believed that the Omicron variant is not nearly as lethal as Delta even though it tends to spread that quickly.

Scottish clubs rely a great deal on their matchday revenue, unlike the Premier League, who have huge broadcasting and sponsorship deals.

Clubs have already suffered a great deal when the pandemic first hit and if the winter break resumes with only 500 fans, they're going to be in a bad spot once again.

Sturgeon needs to speak to different clubs and understand their predicament rather than make decisions based on zero facts.

This crazy cycle cannot keep continuing and hopefully, fan protests are one of the only ways to get that message loud and clear.
