Rangers are looking to at least give supporters something to smile about as they conclude their home campaign against Hibernian on Wednesday.

The Gers' title hopes have been sent up in smoke across recent weeks, with three successive losses leaving them eight points behind with two to play.

On Sunday, Danny Rohl's side would fall to defeat in the final Old Firm of the season, with Celtic coming from a goal behind to win 3-1 at Parkhead.

As a result, the Govan outfit are left with nothing to play for in the final two, with a third-place finish nailed on.

Now, the goal is to at least end the season on a high as Rangers face Hibs and Falkirk.

Danny Rohl set to make two changes as Hibs visit Ibrox

After a strong run heading into the split, Rangers' form has plummeted.

Losing to Motherwell two weeks ago, Rohl's side left themselves with a lot of work to do as they took on Hearts and Celtic within the space of a week.

Heading into the final two matches, the German boss will likely be looking to make changes after a woeful attacking performance against Celtic.

As a result, Thelo Aasgaard could come in to play behind Youssef Chermiti, with Mohamed Diomande making way, while Ryan Naderi continues to get up to speed.

Out on the right, Djeidi Gassama comes in for the ineffective Oliver Antman, with the role out on the right side being something that Rangers simply must fill over the summer months.

Alongside this, captain James Tavernier retains his place, despite a poor run of form in recent weeks.

Indeed, Tavernier seems the one player nailed-on to start given the circumstances, and likely taken off to applause late on.

With Wednesday's clash the final bout at Ibrox this season, the experienced full-back could get his last chance to start, before the Gers make the trip to Falkirk on Saturday.

Rangers cannot let season properly fizzle out

With two to go, it is imperative that the Gers don't let the campaign simply fizzle out, despite the title now gone.

Since coming in, Rohl has done well to steady the ship after a tumultuous period.

However, there is no way around it, recent weeks have been bitterly disappointing.

But there must be some form of momentum heading into next season, and the simple fact of the matter is that now is the time to prove whether Rohl or the members of the squad, are worthy of representing the badge next term.

The title is gone, but there must be one final showing at Ibrox, before the travelling Gers fans are rewarded on their travels to Falkirk at the weekend.
