Rangers youngster Kyle Glasgow continues to impress out on loan for Alloa Athletic.

The young forward joined the League One side on a cooperation loan agreement earlier in the summer, taking his first steps into senior football.

The 16-year-old is highly rated at Ibrox, and club officials wanted to make sure they were making the right decision for the winger.

It appears that Glasgow has settled in better than expected with Alloa, with 14 senior appearances already under his belt.

The right-winger's form for the Wasps earned him a maiden call-up to Scotland's U21s side ahead of the international break, previously playing for the U17s setup.

Now, Rangers will be hoping that Glasgow can have an impact for them in the future, and the Bears may have just been given the validation they were seeking.

The only thing that can 'stop' Kyle Glasgow at Rangers and beyond

Glasgow has scored five goals and grabbed two assists in 14 games so far for Alloa, contributing once every two games.

The teenager scored in the Wasps' League One victory over East Fife on Saturday, wrapping up a 3-0 win in the 86th minute.

Alloa sit sixth in the division and will be hoping to try to finish inside a play-off spot by the end of the campaign.

UEFA A-licensed football coach and analyst John Walker has kept a keen eye on Glasgow's performances at Auchenhowie, and expects the winger to go far in his career.

Walker wrote on X, following Alloa's win over East Fife: "Kyle has scored this goal about 20 times for Rangers U16/17/19s in [the] last couple of seasons.

"Consistency, 1-2-1 training and match repetition; only injury will stop him having a very good career."

Rangers will be hoping that Glasgow can stay fit over the course of the season, as he's shown no real signs of any fitness issues so far.

But when could he make an impact under Derek McInnes?

What has Glasgow said about Alloa experience so far?

Glasgow is one of several top talents that Rangers have, with the likes of Findlay Curtis currently at the club.

McInnes is an avid watcher of the youngsters at Auchenhowie and is always tracking the progress of the club's talents.

Glasgow could come into his plans next pre-season, especially if his current form continues.

Speaking on his loan move, Glasgow has claimed, as quoted by Rangers' official website: "It’s a good group of lads at Alloa.

"I’m getting the exposure that I need to take my career to the next level and hopefully push on to the first team at Rangers one day."
