Rangers fans will love Jens Hjerto-Dahl more as James Tavernier-esque celebration revealed
Jens Hjerto-Dahl may have endeared himself to Rangers supporters even more after his goal for Tromso on Saturday.
The 20-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to Ibrox this summer, with Rangers in the midst of a rebuild.
The midfielder has himself expressed a desire to make the switch to Govan, though as things stand the Norwegian club are resisting a sale.
Although, Rangers may need to fork out around £8.5million to get a deal for Hjerto-Dahl done.
So, things may take a while to get moving on that transfer, as Rangers weigh up the pros and cons of the move.
But, in the meantime, Rangers fans will absolutely love Hjerto-Dahl's celebration as Tromso continued to impress in Norway's top flight.
Hjerto-Dahl draws Tavernier comparisons with Tromso celebration
Tromso hammered Valerenga 4-0 on Saturday, a result that leaves them top of the table - albeit having played four more games than second-place Viking.
Hjerto-Dahl scored the second of those goals, with a thumping effort into the top-left corner from distance.
After his goal, Hjerto-Dahl celebrated with an arm-swinging celebration, reminiscent of how former Rangers captain James Tavernier used to celebrate a goal for the Gers.
Admittedly, Tavernier's is more of a baseball swing, where as this was more of a golf-club type swing.
But still, the comparisons are there, and if Hjerto-Dahl can bring that kind of quality to a Rangers shirt then supporters would really take him to their hearts.
What's next for Rangers in the transfer window?
Rangers have been extremely active in the transfer market this summer.
Efforts have been made to give Derek McInnes the tools he needs after he joined from Hearts following the departure of Danny Rohl.
Lawrence Shankland, Ben Godfrey, Ross McCrorie, Dan Neil, Ivor Pandur, and Cammy Devlin have all arrived so far.
Hjerto-Dahl continues to be heavily linked, but the likes of Lewis Ferguson and Vanja Dragojevic are also being monitored.
If any more midfielders arrive, it probably means there are too many options in midield, and that could lead to a potential exit with Connor Barron perhaps being moved on.
Additions further forward are also being monitored, and Rangers' business is far from over yet you sense.
