How Rangers can change Tom English's mind on title race after 'incredible' developments
The Gers dropped points against Dundee last week and let their Old Firm rivals extend their advantage at the top of the table to four points.
Derek McInnes would've had one demand from his players against St Johnstone on Saturday.
The Ibrox side have shown they can compete against Celtic after dominating them in back-to-back games.
At Parkhead and Ibrox, the Scottish manager convincingly got the better of Martin O'Neill.
The Govan side showed their dominance against Simo Valakari's team in the 4-0 home win, and that's exactly what they need to do going forward.
What Rangers must do to win Scottish Premiership ahead of Celtic
McInnes dropped Kevin Kelsy against Dundee and quickly appears to have realised it was a mistake.
The Gers were on a seven-game winning run before their struggles at Dens Park, but remained unbeaten.
While the Light Blues surprised everyone by dominating Celtic in two games, they need to be consistent elsewhere to win the league title.
For now, Tom English has the Hoops as favourites, but the Govan side can change his mind if they pick up points elsewhere convincingly.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound on 24 October, English said, "I think Rangers are still unproven. They can beat Celtic back-to-back in league and cup, they look incredible, and then they drop points to Dundee.
"Celtic have the capacity to go through all sorts of trauma during a season and they still win the league. I say Celtic will still win the league.
"Rangers can change my mind on that, but they need to start motoring a bit more effectively. They have it in them."
How Derek McInnes made the right call vs St Johnstone
After a few weeks of experiments, McInnes seems to have found his preferred starting lineup at Rangers.
The Gers’ backline seems set with Dujon Sterling, Emmanuel Fernandez, Olwethu Makhanya and James Penrice.
While the Light Blues don’t have to worry about mid-week European games, the Scottish manager still needs to manage his squad.
The team's energy seems to drop at certain moments in the last few matches, and that could be down to fatigue.
McInnes hasn't shown much faith in his bench in recent matches and hasn't used it effectively.
Ben Godfrey and Tuur Rommens came off the bench against St Johnstone, and even if it’s as substitutes, the Scottish manager should be using them more often.
Nicolas Raskin and Dan Neil have also been working hard, and Vanja Dragojevic and Tochi Chukwuani can lighten the load in the engine room.
It's a long season, and everyone will be needed.
