How Kim Minsu needed just seconds to win over an entire stadium on South Korea duty
Rangers attacker Kim Minsu has made the most of his first call-up to the South Korea national squad.
The 20-year-old was named as part of Robert Moreno's squad for friendlies with Ecuador, Uruguay, Venezuela and Uzbekistan.
Kim was brought on for his South Korea debut in the final 15 minutes of the 3-0 win over Ecuador last week in the first of those.
And the former Girona ace was then introduced at half-time of Monday's clash with Uruguay.
South Korea were already 3-0 down at that point, before going on to lose 4-1.
While the result was disappointing, Kim clearly caught the eye with his 45-minute outing.
How did Kim Minsu perform in South Korea loss?
Kim needed just seconds - 163 of them, to be precise - to make his impact felt against Uruguay.
South Korea were poor in the first half, but the young attacker provided energy and a willingness from the moment he was introduced.
As shared by South Korean football expert Joel Kim via X, Kim got a good shot away soon after coming on.
The effort from 25 yards was dipping into the bottom-right corner, only for Cristopher Fiermarin to push it to safety.
As Joel Kim pointed out, the home fans applauded that moment of play from the Rangers ace.
He also added how Kim "was a bright spot" for South Korea on what was otherwise a disappointing day for his national side.
The Kim headache Derek McInnes could face
Kim is likely going to play a part in South Korea's remaining two games this window.
The second of those, against Uzbekistan, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon UK time.
The game is taking place in Daejeon, South Korea, so it will be a long journey back for Kim.
Rangers play against Kilmarnock at 3pm on the Saturday, meaning very little time for Kim to get back, recover and then prepare for the match.
Derek McInnes will have to be careful with how he manages the minutes of not only Kim but Rangers' other internationals, particularly those who have done a lot of travelling.
