Graham Roberts has warned Tottenham of the "amazing" Ibrox crowd ahead of Thursday's clash against Rangers.

The Gers are set to welcome Ange Postecoglou's side to Ibrox on 12 December and Roberts, who played for both sides during his career, believes the supporters have a vital role to play.

Despite a rocky start to the campaign, Philippe Clement's team are now unbeaten in eight matches in all competitions while Postecoglou is under pressure at the Hotspur Stadium due to Spurs' form.

Speaking live via talkSPORT [12 December, 10:41am], Roberts said: "It's going to be noisy. The atmosphere isn't a 12th man, but actually a 13th or 14th man.

"The supporters at Rangers will get behind their team. It will be amazing. The fans who are going up from Tottenham, and I've got to be a bit careful here, they'll make some noise tonight and it'll be a great atmosphere for both clubs."

Rangers to beat Tottenham with help from Ibrox crowd?

There is no hiding just how big this match is for the Gers, and also Clement's time in charge at Ibrox, with the Belgian still very much under pressure despite a run of positive results.

The Light Blues have won their last four matches, including an impressive 4-1 win over Nice in the Europa League, and there is no reason why these performances cannot translate onto the pitch against Spurs.

Ibrox certainly has an important role to play in the clash if the Gers are to get any points out of their tie against a Premier League team, who will be keen to end their current four-game winless streak.

Postecoglou's history with Celtic also gives the Gers more incentive to claim all three points on Thursday night but it will be an extremely tricky clash to navigate.

The Gers are only above their opposition in the Europa League table on goal difference but that gap could be opened up to three points by the end of Thursday night.
