Rangers returned from international duty with another bang on Saturday afternoon.

Derek McInnes made no changes as the Bears smashed Kilmarnock 3-1 in the Scottish Premiership.

It sent the Gers top for 24 hours, until Celtic beat Motherwell on Sunday.

Rangers are now seven games unbeaten, only conceding two along the way in all competitions.

Despite that, it certainly didn't tell the whole story at Ibrox.

McInnes and James Penrice weren't too happy after the game, and Keith Jackson has reiterated some concerns.

Was Rangers win still concerning?

Of course, there is always going to be some rustiness after such a long, extended break away from Ibrox.

But, Killie had the same and missed some glorious chances in the game, despite sitting bottom of the pile.

Speaking on Hotline Live, Jackson shared those worries after catching up on the highlights.

"I think that will concern Derek McInnes that his team sort of fell away," he said.

"I'm sure Rangers brought that to the pitch in the first half at the weekend, but I'm sure that'll concern McInnes that there was a drop off.

"When you're 3-0 up at half time, it's difficult to come out just as switched up and the points are in the bag."

Why Rangers are favourites in Scotland

You can't read into it too much this early in the season, but many still have the Bears as favourites now.

Celtic did look better against Motherwell, who were horrendous, so that two-point gap is still there.

One thing in their favour is no European football.

Obviously, Rangers would surely want that, but given Hearts and Celtic both play on Thursday before meeting each other next weekend, it's a big chance.

McInnes has a week with his squad again, and a trip to Dundee awaits them on Saturday evening.

With some favourable fixtures on paper compared to those around them, now is time to try and cut that gap down and build one of their own.

Seven games is a winning run that we haven't seen for far too long, but there is more to come if they want success this season.

Ryan Naderi and Kevin Kelsy are in red-hot form and winning games when not at your best is an unbelievable weapon to have.

Long may that continue.
