Danny Rohl has new Elijah Just concern at Rangers after New Zealand loss to England
The Motherwell winger has been heavily linked with a switch to the Ibrox side as they seek attacking reinforcements.
Just scored seven goals and notched eight assists and can play as a number 10 or across the front three.
Danny Rohl needs a player like the 41-cap star to put his side in contention to overtake Celtic and Hearts.
However, his latest international showing on 6 june raises doubts for Rohl about whether he is the man that the Gers need.
How did Just perform vs England
Just struggled against England, failing to record a single shot in the contest in Tampa Bay.
The Gers target attempted two crosses but neither were accurate, and he completed just 79 per cent of his pass attempts, per Sofascore.
He had 27 touches, but gave the ball away 14 times, losing possession with over 50 per cent of his touches.
The 26-year-old attempted three dribbles, but completed just one, and he had nine carries for a total distance of 66.8m.
Defensively, he made one clearance, three recoveries and won just one of seven ground duels that he attempted in the contest.
He was replaced in the 78th minute after a performance that raises questions over his suitability for the Gers.
Why Just's showing may leave Rangers concerns
Normally, a performance against England, one of the top nations in world football, would not raise many issues.
It was a game that his side were expected to lose, but the Bears may still have concerns, as they need Just to turn up in big games.
His display was dismal, and does not suggest that he can step up against the likes of Celtic and Hearts, when the Light Blues need him the most.
It may force Rohl to look elsewhere, but that will be based on a big sample of showings, rather than just one.
However, he certainly did not help his chances of securing a big move to the Govan side this summer.
He will have to step up in the World Cup against Iran, Egypt and Belgium, if he is to earn it.
