Czechia media reacts to full Ryan Naderi debut vs England as Rangers striker shows potential
Czechia and Rangers striker Ryan Naderi started against England on Tuesday.
In the final fixture of the three-week international break in the Nations League on 6 October, the Gers' centre-forward made his full debut for his country at Wembley Stadium.
While the visitors kept the tie level for around 30 minutes, they later succumbed to pressure and conceded an own goal from Vladimir Coufal.
Naderi mostly cut a lonesome figure up front against England as Harry Kane scored on either side of the break to seal a 3-0 win for the hosts.
Santi Denia clearly values the Glaswegian outfit's forward highly, immediately bringing him into the team.
After the former Hansa Rostock ace's form in Govan, he has rightly got recognition on the international stage and may be a big player for the Czech Republic in the future.
Ryan Naderi receives mixed reactions after Czechia loss vs England
Naderi made his Czechia debut against Spain, coming off the bench for the final 33 minutes.
After facing the world champions, the Gers' striker then had a tough task against England at Wembley.
Michal Kvasnica, the editor of iSport, saw enough from the 23-year-old forward, who did well playing with his back to goal, worked hard and showed that "the potential is there".
iSport gave Naderi a rating of 5/10, with the attacker left isolated up front as he made a few promising passes and there's anticipation to see what he can do in the next matches for Czechia.
Football Club shared former striker Ludek Zelenka's reaction, who was impressed with Naderi's fighting spirit, but was left underwhelmed with the overall display of Denia's team.
Sport.cz shared a slightly different reaction, giving Naderi a 4/5, with their grading system based on the idea that the lower the number, the better the performance.
The news outlet acknowledged that the striker "fought bravely", but England were too much for him to handle.
Why Rangers are in for Ryan Naderi delight
Czechia will return to Nations League action in November, playing Spain and Croatia.
It wouldn't be surprising to see Naderi get regular call-ups from his national side and play a big role.
The Germany-born attacker seems to have carved out a place for himself among the Czech Republic contingent.
If the centre-forward continues to perform for club and country, he may soon feature in major tournaments and grab the attention of top teams across Europe.
Having spent around £5million on Naderi in January 2026, there's every chance the Govan side could triple or quadruple their investment on him.
