Rangers welcome Kilmarnock to Ibrox on Thursday looking to continue their good run of form since the defeat to Celtic in the Betfred Cup final.

The Light Blues have been unstoppable recently, with two away trips resulting in them keeping two clean sheets and scoring five goals in the process against Motherwell and Hibernian.

So, a game against Kilmarnock seems quite straight forward at the minute, with the travelling side having not won a game in five, as well as not even managing a single goal in the past four.

Kilmarnock forward Dom Thomas has recently admitted that his side can use last season's results and recent form against the Gers as a reason as to why they can beat Steven Gerrard's side on Thursday.

"We did alright against them last season with a couple of wins and draws, so we will take that mentality into the game and hopefully do a job on them," he told the Daily Record.

“We were their bogey team for a while, the boys know that, and Rangers will have that in the back of their heads as well.

"A lot of the guys who played against them last season are still here, so we know what to do. Hopefully, we can stick to our game plan and get something."

It is a very bold claim to make ahead of their game. Anyone looking at recent form and records in Scotland could class this clash as a banker for Rangers to extend their recent winning run.
