Daisuke Yokota and Lawrence Shankland are among the Rangers contingent recovering from injury.

The Gers' captain and Youssef Chermiti picked up their injuries around the same time, forcing the Gers to go into the market and sign Kevin Kelsy.

As for the Japan international, he was signed to bolster Derek McInnes' wide options when the Light Blues desperately needed some, but has been on the sidelines since featuring against Motherwell in September.

Cammy Devlin and Ross McCrorie recently picked up hamstring injuries.

McInnes certainly has plenty of options when everyone is fit.

The Scottish manager could welcome some of the injured players back soon as the Glaswegian outfit prepare for a busy festive period.

Daisuke Yokota, Ross McCrorie and Cammy Devlin first ones to make Rangers return

Devlin picked up an issue after coming off the bench in the final minutes of the 1-0 victory against Celtic before the international break.

McInnes admitted before the Kilmarnock game that the former Hearts midfielder would miss a few weeks.

As things stand, the Australia international could potentially return to full fitness by early November.

McCrorie is another player the Scottish manager recently confirmed would be out for three weeks and he could also possibly be back at the start of next month.

As for Yokota, he had groin surgery at the start of November and McInnes had said that the 26-year-old Japanese ace would be out for two to three months.

That would mean Yokota could return in the middle of November depending on his recovery.

It will be interesting to see whether the attacker can get back into the Govan side's starting lineup, but he certainly has the ability to do so.

Speaking to The Scotsman at the start of August, J-League expert Tom Parker said, "He's a fantastic driller. Extremely good at one-on-ones, and technically gifted."

Derek McInnes confirms Rangers 'Rolls Royce' out until early November

When Derek McInnes could have Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti back

Shankland's recovery at Rangers seems to be going well, but the Gers will want to be cautious.

The Scotland international had a similar issue at Hearts last season and was out for around two months.

Depending on the 31-year-old's recuperation, a return in December could be on the cards, but the more realistic assessment seems to be one after the end of the year.

Chermiti's cruciate ligament injury came at an unfortunate time, with teams expressing interest in him.

A return to action before the end of the season is being targeted for the Portuguese striker and fans in G51 may not see him in action at least until late April.
