Rangers must sign Ciaron Brown after recent contract development

Rangers are reportedly monitoring Cardiff City defender Ciaron Brown in a bid to sign him in the coming months.

GIVEMESPORT have stated that while he's in talks with his current club over a new deal, with the current one expiring at the end of the season, he's exploring all options available to him.

One option is clearly a move to the Ibrox as Gers have been tracking the 23-year-old for a while and he would be a terrific addition to Steven Gerrard's side.

While he's relatively stacked in that department, one would not turn down the opportunity to sign Brown, especially given his contract situation.

At 23, the Northern Ireland international represents an option for the future as well and could go on to be the club's first-choice centre-back for many years to come.

Born in London, he was eligible to represent Northern Ireland, which was the right call he made and has got valuable international experience under his belt at a relatively young age.

According to Reading Today, he has a "brilliant long throw" which is fantastic as it would give Gers another way to threaten from dead-ball situations.

Primarily a centre-back by trade, Brown is versatile enough to play all across the backline and has previously been deployed at left-back which has proven to be a masterstroke.

Gerrard likes his players to be versatile, and Brown perfectly fits the bill for him.

While he may be on the slower side, he has enough skills in his Arsenal to impress the Ibrox faithful and leave them awestruck.
