Rangers supporters may not be happy about one aspect of their club next season.

Derek McInnes' side are flying right now, unbeaten in their last eight matches in all competitions.

They can already boast two wins over Celtic, and are just four points behind them in the league.

The likes of Olwethu Makhanya and Ryan Naderi have been in brilliant form recently.

There is a real hope that the Bears can go on and lift the title for the first time since the 2020-21 season.

The shirts that McInnes' players will be wearing next season will be very different, though, whether they are champions or not.

What is the latest on Rangers' kits for next season?

Rangers' agreement with Umbro is set to come to an end when the current season concludes, and fans will hate what is coming next.

While supporters may be more concerned where Nicolas Raskin will be playing next season, the replacement for their kits will also have them up in arms.

The Scottish Sun reported on Thursday claims that Castore will return to being the provider of the Light Blues' kits for the final three years of the deal.

It states that the Ibrox hierarchy confirmed at a fan event, that the deal, which runs until 2030, will be honoured, after the exclusive sub-licensing deal with Umbro that was only temporary.

Gers fans have previously shared issues with the quality of the two versions of shirts made by the English brand, so Andrew Cavenagh and co will have to hope that they are good quality this time around.

It is not a great situation for the G51 side to be in, especially given the Manchester-based company's history.

Why Rangers should have stuck with Umbro

Rangers have a brilliant history with Umbro on their shirts, as they have won many trophies.

The Gers first donned the iconic brand from 1964-1990, with six Scottish Premiership titles, six Scottish Cups, 11 Scottish League Cups, and the 1972 European Cup Winners Cup victory in that span.

The partnership was revived in 2005 and ended in 2013, with three league titles, two Scottish Cups, three Scottish League Cups, and an unsuccessful trip to the UEFA Cup final in that time.

That is a total of 32 trophies across a 34 year spell, which is not bad going at all.

Hopefully, they can sign off the third Umbro era with some silverware this season, and continue the trend.
