Rangers finally got their season underway on Tuesday, with work continuing in terms of the transfer window and behind the scenes.

Russell Martin has brought in six new signings since he took the reins at Ibrox, and that business is expected to continue.

He has also made his competitive debut as manager, and that went as well as it possibly could have, with a 2-0 win over Panathinaikos in the second round of Champions League qualification.

Conor Coady continues to be linked with a move to Rangers.

The Leicester defender may have stoked the fire after his latest activity on social media.

He took to Instagram (23 July) to like Jack Butland's post after the 2-0 win over Panathinaikos.

Former Gers loanee Vaclav Cerny also liked the post.

Mason Munn is one of Rangers' best youth products, but he may be set to depart this summer.

Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack (24 July) has reported that a loan move to Dunfermline is close.

It states that the Championship side are continuing discussions with the Gers over the switch.

Rangers have stepped up their interest in Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The Athletic's David Ornstein (24 July) has stated that the Gers have made an offer to loan the Crystal Palace gem, with a £10million obligation to buy.

It states that while the approach was rejected by the Premier League club, the Light Blues will continue their pursuit of the 22-year-old.

Jim McAlister looks set to return to Rangers.

The kitman was dismissed in controversial fashion in 2023 after joining under Steven Gerrard in 2021, with the Gers ultimately being forced to pay compensation.

However, he could be set for a sensational return to Ibrox, as Russell Martin and the players desperately want him back at the club, according to Four Lads Had A Dream (24 July).

The onus is now on Patrick Stewart to reach an agreement with the lifelong Gers supporter.
