Adamo Nagalo was spotted wearing the Rangers jersey in the images he uploaded on his Instagram account.

The Burkina Faso defender, who joined Nils Koppen's former club PSV in the summer, wore a Gers jersey of Mohamed Diomande with the number 42 and his name behind.

The Scottish Sun reported this on 4 January and named him a "highly-rated" player with the Ibrox outfit keen on reinforcements in January.

Rangers are looking at defenders in January

The Diomande could be the Ivory Coast link as Nagalo was born there and could have met the Gers defender.

With Gers looking for new defenders in January, Nagalo at 22, is at the ideal age for the club.

However, he moved to PSV for a £5.8million fee [OneFootball] so any move for Rangers is going to be a tremendously costly affair.

The club are understood to be looking for a right-back rather than a centre-back so this is one that seems unlikely.

Hopefully, Nils Koppen has quality options in mind as this side still does not seem ready to close the eleven-point lead on Celtic to win the title.

It is important that at least two or three new players are brought in during the January transfer window and that they strengthen the playing eleven.
