Kemar Roofe sends Giovanni van Bronckhorst Rangers reminder
Rangers striker Kemar Roofe has sent club manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst a reminder that he exists with his latest post on Instagram.
The former Leeds striker has managed 11 goals in all competitions so far this season for the Light Blues, but has featured for just ten minutes in the Scottish Premiership since they were thumped by Celtic in February.
He did get 90 minutes in the cup win over Annan Athletic, where he scored, but has been overlooked by Van Bronckhorst with Alfredo Morelos and Fashion Sakala preferred, while Cedric Itten has received more game time since his return from loan.
But Roofe took to his Instagram to send a cryptic message to the manager, posting an image of himself in training with the caption stating he is focused but appreciative of the support he’s been receiving.
Roofe is fit and available to play against Aberdeen at the weekend at Ibrox, but is expected to be on the bench at best once again for the game.
Chances
Roofe has proven he is good enough to be an option for Rangers as and when needed, but with the way Morelos is playing currently it’s not a surprise he’s not getting a look in.
The Colombian has been sensational since his return from international duty last month and has been a key man for Van Bronckhorst’s side since the Dutch manager’s appointment.

Roofe is quick, strong and a good finisher but his overall game is lacking in comparison, and Rangers need as many points as possible to catch Celtic.
As the season progresses, he will certainly get more opportunities to make his mark on the team and it’s up to him to take them when they do come.
But Morelos’ hot streak will eventually cool down and Rangers will need to use their depth to full affect, which is where the Jamaica international will come into his own. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.
