‘What a sight’, ‘Made my week’ – Many Rangers supporters thrilled by official player update

Ryan Jack is back in Rangers training ahead of Sunday’s trip to Fir Park and many fans have taken to Twitter to express their joy after a lengthy injury absence.

The popular 28-year-old has not played since suffering an injury against his former side Aberdeen on November 22, missing the last 13 games as the Gers have coped admirably without the midfielder.

Steven Gerrard has not been light of options in midfield with the boss able to call upon Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield just to name a few, but the return of the influential Jack will be a big boost for the team and fans ahead of the Motherwell match on Sunday afternoon.

The club posted a picture of Jack on Twitter with the caption “A return to training for Ryan Jack” which has left Rangers fans excited at his impending comeback to first-team action.

With the fantastic form of the Gers midfield there will be no rush from Gerrard’s side to push Jack into action too quickly or too hard but the very sight of the Scotland international on the training pitch will be a big lift to everyone connected with the club.

With a Scottish Premiership title to wrap up and the Europa League knock-out stage on the horizon the squad will need to be utilised and the return of key players like Jack are sure to only further bolster the side for the rest of the season.

Rangers

Rangers face a Motherwell side on Sunday that is struggling at the foot of the Premiership, with the hosts in 10th place and without a win in their last 11 matches.

In contrast, the Light Blues have won 10 of their last 11 and if the game ends up being as comfortable as it looks like it could be then it could be the ideal opportunity to give Jack a run-out and some valuable minutes as he eases his way back into action.
