Oskar Fallenius links suggests Rangers will not stand still as they await Mikey Moore answer
Oskar Fallenius could be Rangers’ alternative to Mikey Moore, with an answer on whether the Englishman can return still to be given.
Moore enjoyed a remarkable campaign at Ibrox this season, quickly becoming a fan favourite in G51, with many wanting him to stay.
Manager Danny Rohl has publicly confirmed his wish is for the 18-year-old to extend his spell at Ibrox beyond this season.
However, the 49ers cannot afford to stall on their transfer plans, and creating a shortlist of alternatives is a smart way to go about things.
Long-term Rangers target Fallenius could certainly be that option, with reports coming out of Sweden about Rangers’ interest.

What has been said about Rangers’ interest in Oskar Fallenius?
Fallenius has previously been on Rangers’ radar before, and now the Gers look set to reignite that interest ahead of the summer window.
According to Sport Bladet in Sweden, both “Wolfsburg and Rangers are showing interest in Djurgården winger Oskar Fallenius.”

However, Wolfsburg’s move for Fallenius will rely entirely on if the Bundesliga side avoids relegation in their play-off game against Paderborn on Monday, 25 May.
The first leg of the tie ended in a 0-0 draw between the two German sides.
So, Rangers could end up in a one-horse race for the 24-year-old if Wolfsburg fall to defeat and get relegated to the second tier of the German football pyramid.
Wolfsburg, of course, are the parent club of departing loanee Andreas Skov Olsen, so this could also affect his future as well.
Rangers have already decided not to sign him on a permanent following his temporary spell.

How would Oskar Fallenius fit in at Rangers?
Fallenius is primarily a left-sided winger but has often played on the opposite wing as well, offering Rohl flexibility in his selections.
When it comes to creativity and creating chances, Fallenius actually performs better in that regard than Moore.
The Swedish winger produces one big chance every 238.5 minutes, according to last season’s totals per Sofascore.
Meanwhile, Moore creates one every 310 minutes of football. Dribbling-wise, Fallenius is not quite as brave as the Englishman.

He attempts 1.8 per game with a 33.3 per cent success rate. Moore, on the other hand, comes in with 3.4 attempts and a 44 per cent success rate.
Ideally, Moore may be the better option, and he already knows the club and has a connection with the fans already.
It would on paper have more chance of being a success, but Fallenius is certainly not a terrible backup option if a move cannot transpire.
