Rangers set for contract talks with in-demand Calum Adamson, to be part of Danny Rohl’s plans
Rangers want to keep Calum Adamson despite interest from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Southampton.
According to the Daily Record on 17 May, scouts from the Tricky Trees, the Saints, Hull City and Lincoln City watched the midfielder play in the Scottish League One play-off final against Stenhousemuir, who won promotion to the William Hill Championship.
The news outlet reports that the Gers want to integrate the 18-year-old Scotland Under-19 international into Danny Rohl’s first-team setup next season alongside other academy talent.
It has been claimed that Adamson wants to establish himself at the first-team level, and with his contract expiring in 12 months, the Glaswegian outfit will surely be set to hold talks over a renewed deal.
Rohl is expected to stay at Ibrox and it will be interesting to see whether the German manager relies more on youngsters developed at Auchehowie in the coming months.

Danny Rohl shows reluctance at Rangers
Rohl hasn’t been keen on using the Scottish talent at his disposal at the Gers, highlighted by John Souttar and Connor Barron’s lack of game time.
The German manager has seen the season end in bitter disappointment, with fans in G51 calling for a change in the dugout.

Rohl opted to send Findlay Curtis on loan to Kilmarnock in the winter transfer window, but Rangers should have kept him.
The Gers decided to bring Andreas Skov Olsen on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in January and the decision completely backfired.
Curtis would arguably have made a bigger impact in the William Hill Premiership title race at Ibrox than the Denmark international.
The German manager’s lack of faith in the Scottish teenager at the Govan side this season may not be an encouraging sign for the other youngsters looking to break into the team.
