Rangers: Mikey Moore fate in Roberto De Zerbi’s hands as Ibrox return a no-brainer
Rangers will have to wait for Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi’s assessment of Mikey Moore in the upcoming transfer window.
As things stand, the 18-year-old will be returning to Spurs, who will survive Premier League relegation unless West Ham United pip them in the table.
Moore’s return to Ibrox has apparently been discussed, but the young forward has now admitted it depends on what De Zerbi will have to say in North London.
The English attacker has been a key player for the Glaswegian outfit this season, shouldering the creative burden up front.
Danny Rohl really likes Moore, as is evidenced by his 32 William Hill Premiership appearances, and it would arguably be a no-brainer for the Govan side to re-sign him.

Danny Rohl can build team around Mikey Moore at Rangers
Speaking to the Rangers Review on 15 May, Moore said, “For me now, it’s hard because it’s the same as for me last year. A new manager was in at Tottenham and I had to go back in and see what he was saying about me and then see what everyone was doing. To be honest, I think it will be the same sort of process.
“I think there’s a new manager at Spurs at the minute and obviously I’m a Spurs player, so we’ll have to see what he says about me, what he wants me to do, what the people around me want me to do. I think that’s all I can say at the moment. I’m going to go back there and see what the new people say in the building and from there I’ll make a decision.”
With the Tottenham loanee scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the league this season, the Gers would certainly be losing an important attacking talent in the summer.
| Statistics | Mikey Moore |

Apart from his goal contributions, the teenager has created seven big chances and averaged 1.8 shots and 1.2 key passes per game, as per Sofascore.
Moore has been one of the most reliable forward outlets for the Light Blues in the William Hill Premiership, showcasing his technical ability by recording 1.5 successful dribbles per game
Considering the English youngster is the joint fifth-highest goalscorer in all competitions for the Govan side, Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises should make his return a priority if Spurs are willing to facilitate it.
Mikey Moore impact clearly evident at Ibrox
Moore has looked like one of the handful of players who have tried their best for Rangers in recent matches.
Despite the Gers losing four games on the bounce, the Tottenham loanee has put in some impressive individual performances against Motherwell, Hearts, Celtic and Hibernian.
It’s a shame that a teenager on loan seems to be the only one who has cared most about fighting for the title.
Moore has stood up for his teammates on the pitch in Govan and that’s another reason fans in G51 have taken a liking to him.
