Rangers in hunt to sign ‘absolute gem’ Akpe Victory as big praise emerges from analyst
Rangers have been named in the race to sign centre-back prospect Akpe Glory.
The 19-year-old is currently starring for Hungarian outfit Zalaegerszeg and has certainly made a positive impression at ZTE Arena.
That has caught the attention of the Ibrox club, who once again need to box clever when the summer transfer window opens.
Their defence has been poor in recent weeks, but the signing of Emmanuel Fernandez has certainly proven to be wise.
Rangers could replicate that with Victory as the hype continues to build surrounding a potential move away from Hungary.

Rangers want Akpe Victory as glowing review emerges
There have been some damning defensive performances in Govan recently that have certainly caught the eye for the wrong reasons.
Even with Fernandez putting in some top performances over the course of the season, the same can’t always be said of his defensive colleagues.

It would make total sense for the Light Blues to target new centre-back options in the summer, while keeping an eye on the transfer budget.
That could see Victory represent excellent value with Hungarian football expert Bence Bocsak sharing critical acclaim about the 19-year-old.
Taking to X, he said: “Rangers, Benfica and several other big clubs are now being linked with him. One of the best young centre-backs playing outside Europe’s top 10 leagues right now.
“Whoever signs Akpe Victory will land an absolute gem.”
With Nasser Djiga shortly on his way out of Rangers, replacements will be needed, with the Nigerian already emerging as a target.
Victory could cost Rangers over £4m
The glowing review emerging from Nigeria looks set to only cost the Gers more moving into the summer.
With Bocsak clearly loving what he’s seen from the centre-back, it is no surprise that interest is building surrounding his signature.
Rangers need to move quickly if they want to land his signature, and Ben Jacobs has reported that they have already opened talks with Zalaegerszeg.
Benfica have already tabled an offer, with the Govan club now looking likely to submit a bid of their own for Victory.
The fee for the teenager is said to be in excess of £4.3million, a fee which could prove to be a bargain in G51 if everything goes to plan.
