Rangers: Pressure now on 49ers as ‘significant’ talks with Danny Rohl revealed after Celtic loss
Rangers fans will turn their attention to the 49ers as the board held talks with Danny Rohl following the 3-1 defeat to Celtic.
The Bears were embarrassed at Celtic Park, as not only did their arch nemesis end their title hopes, but they also made sure that Gers could not finish inside the top two.
Major external pressure has mounted on Rohl since the loss, with many fans suggesting the only thing left for Andrew Cavenagh and Co. to do is to pull the trigger.
The Rangers boss has shown that he cannot make his team turn up in big games when it matters the most, and that has caused unrest for the Light Blues.
However, following talks with the board, Rohl looks set to stay at Ibrox for next season, which will bring heat to the 49ers.

‘Significant’ rebuild under Danny Rohl expected
There were immediate calls to sack Rohl after the defeat to Celtic, but it always seemed likely that the 49ers would not make a rash decision with just two games left of the season anyway.
It also didn’t seem likely, considering the fact that early work had already been done to tailor to Rohl’s preferences this summer, but that was before a record three consecutive league losses for the first time since 2000.

According to Raman Bhardwaj on X this Tuesday, Rohl has confirmed that he’s already been assured by the Rangers board that he will stay on as Gers boss for the start of next season following talks.
There is expected to be a “significant” squad rebuild, one which will need to be smart, considering that a bad start would surely mean the end for Rohl.
The 49ers and the Rangers boss all need to hope for a quick start next season, or the pressure will mount.
Particularly for Cavenagh and Co., who are going against what the majority of Ibrox wants.
What will the suggested rebuild consist of at Rangers?
Rangers have plenty of players who are surplus to requirements, or some who are simply not good enough.
The likes of Jack Butland, James Tavernier, John Souttar, Andreas Skov Olsen, and more could either leave or be upgraded on with plenty of work to do.
Nasser Djiga and Derek Conrnelius will be heading back to their respective parent clubs, while Mikey Moore will also return to Tottenham.
It’ll be an interesting summer to say the least, but permanent arrivals need to be sanctioned by the 49ers, and players who can be with the Bears for the long-term future.
