Danny Rohl can pack his bags right now, Rangers locked in cycle of misery
Danny Rohl has just burnt bridges at Rangers with another embarrassing Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic, and the 49ers must take action.
The Bears were beaten 3-1 by Martin O’Neill’s side this Sunday, seeing Gers mathematically drop out of the title race, while giving up a top-two spot.
Rohl’s naivety has cost Rangers time, and time again, but this defeat is surely the final nail in the coffin, as his decisions truly threw the game.
The German head coach has made some questionable choices, but choosing to start Oliver Antman and James Tavernier once again, while waiting until conceding a third goal to make changes, is unforgivable.
Rohl’s record in big games is diabolical, and he may as well start packing his bags now, with scar tissue too much to see him stay at Ibrox beyond this very result.

Danny Rohl matches unwanted Rangers record since 2000, he has to go
Rohl has been linked to the Wolfsburg job once more this week, and many supporters would gladly drive him back to his native land if they could.
Despite a resurgence under him when he first arrived, there is now plenty of evidence to suggest that Rangers are not going anywhere anytime soon under his management.
| Game | Result | Date |
| Celtic vs Rangers | 3-1 Loss | Sun, 10 May |
| Hearts vs Rangers | 2-1 Loss | Mon, 4 May |
| Rangers vs Motherwell | 3-2 Loss | Sun, 26 April |
It has now been confirmed that Rohl is the first Gers boss to lose three Scottish Premiership games in a row since Dick Advocaat in 2000. That’s 26 years ago.
It’s truly embarrassing, but it’s gotten to a point now where there just doesn’t seem to be anything that Rohl can physically do to make amends, which means he needs to go.

The writing is on the wall for Rohl, and it’s only a matter of when, not if.
But who could replace him?
Steven Gerrard there for the taking
Steven Gerrard is still out there for Rangers, and the 49ers must now make a stronger proposal to bring the much-loved figure back to Ibrox this summer.
The right thing to do would be to bin Rohl off now, see the season out under an interim, and re-hire the only man who can bring Gers success.
Rangers are stuck in a dire loop, and Rohl isn’t going to break this current curse; only Gerrard can.

It has already been reported that the 49ers could move to reappoint the former Liverpool captain, depending on the Old Firm result.
Given it could not have gone much worse for the Bears or Rohl himself, Rangers fans could now get what they crave.
