Hearts vs Rangers: Lawyers to pour over Sky deal with SPFL after Tynecastle result
Hearts’ victory over Rangers on Monday has put Sky Sports in a difficult spot.
Derek McInnes’ side essentially knocked Danny Rohl‘s charges out of the title race with a 2-1 victory at Tynecastle on 4 May.
The Gers are now seven points behind the league leaders, with only nine points to play for, so it would take a pretty remarkable turnaround.
However, the game was the broadcaster’s final pick of five allocations for the Jambos home matches, so they will need special dispensation from the club and SPFL to show the Falkirk game next Wednesday, which could be on the club’s pay-per-view channel.
Rangers fans will be keeping an eye on that game still, as arch-rivals Celtic are still involved in the title race.

How lawyers can fix issue after Hearts vs Rangers result
Keith Hackett, the former FIFA-listed referee believes that the lawyers will pour over the deal after Hearts’ win over Rangers, to try and reach a solution.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, he said: “I guess the lawyers will be pouring over the television rights deal in order to produce the correct outcome.

“Sky will certainly want to cover this important game, given the current league table, I think Sky will come up with extra cash to buy out the pay-per-view arrangement.”
Why Rangers fans will want to watch
Rangers supporters will hope that a solution can be reachedand the game can be broadcast to a wider audience.
While their own title dreams may have gone up in smoke in dramatic fashion in the last few weeks, they will be hoping that the Gorgie side can go and lift the trophy when it’s all over.
That would deny their Glasgow rivals the title, which is the second-best outcome, other than Rohl’s side going on to taste success themselves.

They will still be interested in the game, despite their own side’s failings, as they will never hear the end of it, if Martin O’Neill’s side come out on top at the end of the season.
They will sit down and assess their own struggles, regardless, but if they can watch the Edinburgh side take a step closer to the championship, it will help a little bit.
