Andreas Skov Olsen: Rangers forward falls asleep vs Hearts, called out by Barry Ferguson
Andreas Skov Olsen was accused of falling asleep as Hearts equalised against Rangers in the William Hill Premiership on Monday.
Barry Ferguson and Charlie Mulgrew called out the Denmark international for not being switched on defensively as Stephen Kingsley scored at Tynecastle Park on 4 May.
The 26-year-old stood idly as Alexandros Kyziridis’ shot bounced off the post into the Hearts defender’s feet in the 54th minute.
Lawrence Shankland went on to score the eventual winner for the hosts as Danny Rohl saw his title ambitions melt in Gorgie.
Skov Olsen’s performance at Tynecastle Park was underwhelming and it was surprising to see the German manager start him in the first place.

Rangers can’t make Andreas Skov Olsen mistake after performance vs Hearts
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, Mulgrew said, “Olsen has fell asleep, hasn’t he?” and Ferguson added, “Yeah, Olsen, he has got to be on his toes. He has got to be on his toes there.”
Skov Olsen signed for the Gers on loan from VfL Wolfsburg in the winter transfer window and has failed to live up to expectations since.
The fact that the Light Blues have a £8.6million option to buy the Danish winger highlights just how bad he has been despite the high hopes for him.

Having seen the forward get overwhelmed with Scottish football, it wouldn’t make sense for the Glaswegian outfit to keep him ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Skov Olsen was once again frustrating against Hearts and that has been the story of his time at the Govan side.
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises can’t keep getting recruitment wrong
Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises have spent a significant amount on players since taking over Rangers.
There’s an argument to be made that a majority of the Gers’ signings in the last two transfer windows have flopped.

The American owners have splashed the cash, but they need to be more diligent with their recruitment in the summer if they want to get the Glaswegian outfit back to the top.
While fans in G51 were excited by the winter signings, apart from Tuur Rommens, none of them has had a big enough impact to lead the Govan side’s title hopes.
