Rangers have Paul Nsio decision as Dougie Imrie speaks out
Rangers will have to make a tough decision on Paul Nsio’s future in the near future.
Nsio has thrived at Raith Rovers, scoring three goals in 32 matches, and looks set to return to Ibrox in the summer.
His loan manager, Dougie Imrie, has revealed that he would like to keep him around for next season, after his impressive campaign.
However, Danny Rohl‘s stance on the matter is not known at this point, and a stay in Govan can’t be ruled out.
Rangers now have the ball in their court, and it remains to be seen whether they allow another loan to the Championship club.

The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
What did Imrie say about Rangers prospect Nsio?
Imray has made his desire to keep the Rangers youngster clear, he would like him at Stark’s Park for the foreseeable future.
He has confirmed that he plans to hold talks with the Light Blues over another season in Fife for the 20-year-old loan star.

In quotes reported by the Scotsman on 4 May, he said: “Yeah, I would like to get him back.
“It’ll be up to Rangers to see the progression for Paul, but I think with his age and just having really six months of men’s football, I think the ideal scenario would be for him to come back here and maybe get another 40 games under his belt.”
Should Nsio get Rangers chance next season?
The likelihood is that Nsio needs another loan away from the Gers, as his numbers have not hit the heights that you would expect if he was ready for Rohl’s first team.
The fact that he has scored three goals is not particularly encouraging, and the underlying numbers also suggest another spell on loan is the best solution, rather than keeping him around in G51 for the new campaign.
He averages 0.4 shots and 0.2 key passes, according to data from Sofascore, which would not usurp any of the current senior options at Auchenhowie.
| Nsio’s stats for Raith | Championship |
| Matches | 23 |
| Shots per game | 0.4 |
| Key passes | 0.2 |
| Goals | 2 |
| Goals per minute | 802 |
The question may not be whether to loan him out again, but what the destination should be.
They may decide that he needs to go to a team in the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership, rather than continuing with the Rovers.
Only time will tell what they opt to do with the youngster, and Imrie and his side face a nervous wait to find out.
There is no need to make a decision on his long-term future, as he is contracted until 2027 at the moment, but his short-term future will an interesting topic this summer.
The decision will be crucial for his development, so it may be a difficult one to get right.
