Paul Nsio’s Rangers contract examined after quadruple award win away from Ibrox
Paul Nsio is one of the brightest talents at Rangers.
The 20-year-old has spent the campaign on loan with Raith Rovers, where he has notched three goals in 32 matches.
The Fife side recognised the Ibrox loanee’s contributions as he picked up four awards for his performances.
He won the Young Player of the Year, Supporters’ Bus Player of the Year, Best Individual Performance and the Maclolm Szpera Award for Endeavour at their awards night.
Now, Rangers have a decision to make on Nsio’s future.

What is Nsio’s contract situation at Rangers?
Nsio extended his Rangers contract before joining the Championship club, committed his future to the Gers.
He signed a two-year deal, meaning that it will expire in the summer of 2027, if he is not offered another extension.
There will be interest in his services for the new campaign, but the Light Blues will have ultimate control over the situation.
Raith want him back again
Raith manager Dougie Imrie wants to hold talks with Gers chiefs over another loan for Nsio, after his impressive spell this campaign.
In quotes reported by the Scotsman on 4 May, he said: “Yeah, I would like to get him back.
“It’ll be up to Rangers to see the progression for Paul, but I think with his age and just having really six months of men’s football, I think the ideal scenario would be for him to come back here and maybe get another 40 games under his belt.”
Whether they sanction that or want him to play at a higher level, or in their own first-team squad, remains to be seen.
Is he ready for Rangers opportunity?
In his 23 appearances in the league, the Birmingham-born star has averaged 0.4 shots and 0.2 key passes, according to data from Sofascore.
He has scored two goals, with a goal every 802 minutes, which would suggest that he is not ready for a berth with Danny Rohl‘s side just yet.
He would offer a different profile, and is a threat, winning 52 per cent of his dribble attempts, but the end product will be a concern if he is in and around the team in Govan.

Nsio is willing to help out defensively, making 9.7 ball recoveries per game and 1.1 clearances per game, which may help his chances.
He probably needs another loan to prove that he is ready to play a part in Rohl’s setup, or that his future is away from Auchenhowie.
Either way, the Gers will likely get their answer in the near future.
