Rangers’ Tynecastle winning record should fuel Danny Rohl’s side with Hearts confidence
Rangers have nine wins at Hearts’ Tynecastle home since 2021.
Edinburgh is calling for Rangers on Monday night, in what is a date with destiny for Danny Rohl‘s side.
With four points now separating the two teams, should Gers fail to beat Hearts, then that will probably be curtains for their chances of being crowned champions of Scotland this season.
However, should they defeat Derek McIness’ men, that would blow the title race wide open once again, setting up a dramatic final three games of the campaign.
So, Rangers’ trip to Hearts is undoubtedly the most important game in both team’s seasons so far, with so much to gain and potentially lose on Monday night.

What is Rangers’ record at Tynecastle ahead of Hearts game?
In the 2025-26 Scottish Premiership season, there has been no tougher place for travelling teams to go to than Tynecastle.
Hearts have not lost a single game on home soil from the 17 league matches they’ve played there this term, winning 13 and drawing four respectively.
| Hearts’ last 5 home results | Result |
| Vs Motherwell, 11 April | 3-1 Hearts win |
| Vs Dundee, 21 March | 1-0 Hearts win |
| Vs Aberdeen, 28 February | 1-0 Hearts win |
| Vs Falkirk, 21 February | 1-0 Hearts win |
| Vs Hibernian, 10 February | 1-0 Hearts win |
Indeed, Hearts beat Rangers 2-1 in the regular season meeting there on 21 December 2025, with goals from Lawrence Shankland and Stuart Findlay for the Jam Tarts, whilst Youssef Chermiti bagged a late Gers consolation goal.
As such, Hearts do have the most recent bragging rights when it comes to this fixture at Tynecastle, but that victory was an outlier on how things have typically gone in Edinburgh when these two sides clash.
That’s because Rangers had previously been unbeaten there dating all the way back to December 2021, over a run of nine games in all competitions.

Gers picked up seven wins and two draws from those nine Tynecastle trips, with the victories culminating to an aggregate scoreline of 19-3.
Rangers must prevent Hearts from starting fast
The atmosphere at Tynecastle on Monday night is sure to be electric, with the magnitude of this fixture not being lost on either set of supporters.
One of the keys to an away result in these sort of situations is to stop the home side from getting off to a fast start, which Hearts will no doubt be looking to do against Rangers.
That’s precisely what Gers have let them accomplish recently too, with Hearts scoring five first-half goals in their previous three meetings.

If Gers can ride the early Jambos storm on Monday, then perhaps frustration and nerves from the home support will grown, which Rohl’s players could harness to their advantage.
Concede an early goal, however, and the potent Hearts forward line could launch a tide of attacks that Rangers may have a very tough time holding back.
