Rangers vs Motherwell: Chris Sutton immediately reacts after Ibrox thriller
Rangers gave Hearts and Celtic the initiative in the title race after losing to Motherwell in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.
The Steelemen got a late winner as the game ended 3-2 at Ibrox, with Chris Sutton immediately reacting to what Jens Berthel Askou has done with the North Lanarkshire side.
After the full-time whistle in Govan, the former Celtic ace gave props to Motherwell and has been left impressed by how good they are.
Youssef Chermiti changed the game at Ibrox in the second half as he scored one and assisted one for the Gers to equalise, but the visitors got the winner in the 90th minute in what was a thrilling contest in the second half, with both teams going at each other.
Danny Rohl’s hopes in the William Hill Premiership have been dashed by the defeat and the defensive errors that cost the Govan side at the end of the day were avoidable.

Rangers their own worst enemies vs Motherwell
Writing on X after the game, Sutton said, “That Motherwell are a good team.”
The former Celtic striker usually likes to take swipes at the Gers and this could possibly be one of those instances.
Motherwell are a decent side, though, and Berthel Askou showed, especially in the first half, that the Steelmen can beat anyone on their day.

Rohl will surely feel that the Light Blues did enough in the second half to deserve a point, and he has reason to believe that, as Chermiti and Mikey Moore missed golden opportunities to equalise in stoppage time.
Motherwell consistently punished the Glaswegian outfit on the counter, and it was baffling to see the hosts leave large gaps in defence in the final minutes of the fixture, which eventually led to Emmanuel Longelo’s brace.
Danny Rohl needs a reset at Ibrox
While Rangers supporters will undoubtedly be raging at the performance against Motherwell, there were enough signs to show that they’re still in the race for the title.
Rohl needs to calm his players down and focus on Hearts, with the Gers travelling to Tynecastle Park next on 4 May.
There’s still a long way to go before deciding the winner of the William Hill Premiership and all the Govan side can now do is try to win their remaining matches.
It ended in a disappointing evening for the Light Blues, but they need to now pick themselves up and ensure they don’t repeat the same errors.
