Rangers: Tuur Rommens injury frustration to boil over as Danny Rohl needs new left-back
Rangers will surely have concerns over Tuur Rommens being consistently injured since signing in the winter transfer window.
The left-back signed for the Gers in January from Westerlo and didn’t make his debut for a few weeks due to fitness concerns.
While Rommens has been pivotal to Danny Rohl’s plans at Ibrox in recent weeks, he hasn’t been available as often as the German manager would’ve liked and will miss the Motherwell game at home on 26 April.
The 23-year-old has made six appearances in the William Hill Premiership this season, but has been sidelined for the last two matches.
Fans will hope Rommens doesn’t end up being injury-prone at Ibrox, but as things stand, it looks like the Glaswegian outfit may need a new left-back soon.

Rangers have Jayden Meghoma summer priority
Rommens can’t be the only left-back on the Gers’ books ahead of the 2026-27 campaign and they should make re-signing Jayden Meghoma a priority.
The Belgium Under-21 international missed six games at Westerlo this season due to an ankle injury before moving to Ibrox and he has failed to remain fit during his short spell at the Light Blues, starting just 45 per cent of the matches.

Rohl expects the left-back to be fit for the final four games of the season, but he’s set to miss his fifth league game at the Glaswegian outfit against Motherwell.
While supporters in G51 will hope Rommens can get over his fitness concerns next season, there’s no guarantee, and the German manager may already be frustrated with the defender’s situation in Govan.
Dujon Sterling repeat on cards at Ibrox
With James Tavernier leaving Rangers at the end of the season, many want to see Dujon Sterling step up to the plate and take more responsibility.
Rohl seems to prefer the former Chelsea ace in his starting lineup, but the English defender has hardly played consistent football over the last two seasons.

There’s no doubt about the quality of the right-back, but the lack of availability is undoubtedly a stumbling block in his rise at the Glaswegian outfit.
Rommens and Sterling could possibly once again struggle to play consistent football in the upcoming campaign, making defensive reinforcements a no-brainer for Andrew Cavenagh and the recruitment department.
