Rangers fans will roll over laughing at Russell Martin’s new FAW role
Rangers fans will be in hysterics at the latest announcement about former manager Russell Martin.
Martin oversaw a disastrous start to the campaign after being appointed in the summer, winning just five of his 17 matches in charge.
He was sacked in October, with Andrew Cavenagh admitting that they made a mistake hiring the former Southampton boss.
Martin has been announced as a guest at the FA Wales National Coaches Conference in May, at the Celtic Manor resort.
One aspect of Martin’s appearance will have Rangers supporters rolling over with laughter.

Why will Rangers fans laugh at Russell Martin announcement
Martin’s stint with Rangers was truly dismal, as he had the Glasgow side sitting 16 points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts when he was dismissed.
The announcement stated that he will be delivering a tactical masterclass session at the conference with Coaches Voice.
That idea will leave Gers fanbase in stitches, as they witnessed his tactics, and they were nothing short of dreadful.
Martin’s tactics were never going to work at Rangers
Martin’s attempts to stamp his style on the Light Blues from the jump were naive and bound to fail.
His possession-based aggressive tactics were far too overcomplicated for the squad to implement straight away, and they conceded 104 shots in his first five matches, while creating little themselves.
Martin had the side set up in a 4-3-3, trying to build out of the back, and play through the middle before springing wingers to isolate opposition full-backs.

They often were caught out on counterattacks because they had too many players forward and lost the ball in central areas.
He blamed the players and often hit out in the media, which only accelerated his exit, as he fell out with several key stars, including Nicolas Raskin, who he had bombed out of the squad.
The fact that Danny Rohl has got the Bears right back into title contention after replacing him, bodes even worse for Martin’s legacy in Govan, which is already at a laughable level.
The fact that he is giving a tactical masterclass at an elite level coaching event, is surely a joke, after what he put Gers supporters through, in his short-lived spell in G51.
