Hugh Keevins proven right over Rangers ticket allocation concern for title-decider at Falkirk
Hugh Keevins fears what could go wrong at Falkirk Stadium when Rangers visit on the final day of the William Hill Premiership.
Trouble brewed in 4 Stadium Way as a steward on duty required medical attention after issues with the crowd during the Gers’ 6-3 comeback win over the Bairns.
Keevins hopes the final game of the season doesn’t end up being a title decider, given the implications for what comes next if the Light Blues win or lose.
The veteran sports broadcaster had raised concerns over the Glaswegian outfit’s ticket allocation for the game on 16 May pre-kick-off in the recent game at Falkirk Stadium and feels he was proven right after the issues with supporters during the fixture.
Danny Rohl got the better of John McGlynn on the day and the German manager now has the league title in his hands if the Govan side can amass a perfect record post-split.

Rangers have one hero to thank after Falkirk Stadium heroics
Nicolas Raskin can be the catalyst for the Gers’ push for silverware in the final five games of the season.
The midfielder was monumental as the Light Blues mounted a comeback against Falkirk after going two goals down and will surely be pivotal to any success Rohl experiences in the current campaign.
| Statistics in 6-3 win vs Falkirk | Nicolas Raskin |
| Sofascore rating | 9.3 |

At one point, it looked like the Glaswegian outfit had let things slip away as McGlynn’s team seemed to have the three points in the bag, but the Belgium international had other ideas, coming out in the second half as a man possessed to lead the title charge.
While there have been several standout performers for the Govan side under Rohl, Raskin arguably takes the cake for what he’s done in recent weeks in the German manager’s quest to do what was once thought impossible.
Writing in the Daily Record on 19 April, Keevins said, “I said there was justifiable cause for immediately addressing the subject of the ticket allocation for Rangers’ visit to Falkirk on the final day of the season because of the title-winning implications of the game.
“I take no satisfaction in being proved correct because of disturbances witnessed during the match between the clubs later the same day. Tickets for the home end falling into the hands of away fans is one thing. It happens all the time.
“Acts of public disorder are another matter. That’s why I would hope Rangers’ visit to Falkirk on the last day of the season does not have the outcome of the title race in its hands.”
Andrew Cavenagh close to Ibrox inquest
Rangers looked dead and buried at the start of the 2025-26 campaign after the experiment with Russell Martin failed miserably.
Kevin Thelwell and Patrick Stewart were also subsequently sacked at the Gers later in the season, as fans in G51 had lost hope in their club.

The American owners undoubtedly risked mutiny from supporters if they got Rohl’s appointment wrong, but the Light Blues’ fortunes have changed since.
Andrew Cavenagh has managed to salvage the Glaswegian outfit and his reputation with some astute decisions at the board level.
