While the Glaswegian outfit would probably like to keep Fernandez for a few more years before eventually moving him on, an enticing offer may force their hand to sell.
Speaking on Hotline Live about their 2025-26 team of the season on 15 April, Jackson said, “Fernandez, self-explanatory. He didn’t start the season well, but he has become such a threat in both boxes. Defensively, a lot more secure than he was. And even when he came into the team, he was a bit problematic at the back. What he offered in the opposition box was almost impossible to defend against.”
Caw interjected, “I think he can make Rangers a fortune,” and Jackson continued, “John McGlynn let slip that the likes of Feyenoord and other European clubs, Leverkusen. People are watching. I think that’s what their eyes are on. I think people are looking at him as potentially the next big thing.”
