Mikey Moore promise should have Rangers’ title rivals running scared
Mikey Moore put in one of his worst performances in a Rangers shirt in Sunday’s win over Falkirk, but the Tottenham gem will have a major part to play before the season ends.
Moore was deemed a “question mark” prior to the game at Falkirk Stadium but was named in the starting line-up by Danny Rohl.
However, the Englishman lasted just 45 minutes and was clearly nowhere near his top levels in terms of both fitness and performance.
Indeed, Bojan Miovski’s introduction at half-time saw Rangers go on to pummel Falkirk 6-3 in a game the Gers trailed 2-0 at one point and 2-1 when Moore went off.
Moore has now provided an update on his fitness, though, in what should be positive news for Rangers supporters.

Mikey Moore makes Rangers fitness vow
Moore led the applause after Rangers’ win at Falkirk, showing that he is very much in it for the team and not himself.
It would have been easy for the Tottenham loanee to be disappointed at his lack of impact – or more importantly, the fact the man who replaced him produced a superb display from the bench.

But Rohl later confirmed at his post-match press conference that “top player” Moore was far from 100 per cent.
The German added that he hopes Moore will now use these next two weeks without a game to resolve that.
And the 18-year-old himself has now vowed to do just that, writing on his personal Instagram: “Unreal character to come back.
“Time to get myself 100 per cent to be able to give everything in these last five games. Rangers fans, the support was class until the very end – thank you. Keep believing.”

Moore has been a very good addition by Rangers this season, albeit after a fairly slow start – something that was the case for near enough every member of the squad.
And the fact that Moore could well be back at his peak levels in time for the visit of Motherwell on 26 April should send shivers down the spines of Rangers’ title rivals.
Moore has clear Bojan Miovski challenge to overcome
Moore being at his top levels for the final run-in is only a good thing, of course, but he may first face a challenge retaining his place in Rohl’s XI vs Motherwell.
Miovski scored twice from the bench at Falkirk Stadium and is now averaging 0.59 goals and assists per 90 minutes.

By comparison, Moore is some way down the list on 0.41, with Youssef Chermiti looking strong at 0.83 per 90.
However, Moore provides a lot more in the final third – hence why he is regularly selected by Rohl – and he was really finding his feet prior to his recent injury scare.
The hope now is that Moore spends the next week really working on his fitness before hitting the ground running upon the Gers’ return to action.
With a fit and firing Moore up top, alongside Chermiti and Miovski, Rangers have the firepower to get over the line in the title race.
