Mikey Moore set for dramatic title run-in as his Rangers second-half goals tally proves
Mikey Moore has a habit of scoring late goals this season, and that could see him play a crucial role in Rangers‘ Scottish Premiership title run-in.
The 18-year-old Tottenham loanee has been arguably Rangers’ best player this season, leaving many Gers fans hopeful of seeing him back at Ibrox next season.
However, given his exploits north of the border this term, Tottenham may well have first-team plans of their own for the teenager in North London.
That will all be decided in due course though, but right now, the winger has a key part to play in Rangers’ push to be crowned champions of Scotland for the first time since 2021.
And, with just six games to play, Danny Rohl‘s side are within touching distance of achieving that feat, but he’ll need his star players to keep shining over the remaining few weeks.

What is Mikey Moore’s record for late goals this season?
Moore has been a huge hit with Rangers fans, having confessed his previous admiration for the football club from even before he’d ever pulled on a Gers kit.
Rarely has the Ibrox faithful seen a more talented teenager star for their team in recent times than the way Moore has this season, particularly since the appointment of Rohl.
| Moore’s 25-26 league stats | Result |
| Goal contributions | 8 |
| Big chances created | 7 |
| Key passes per game | 1.2 |
| Dribble success | 43% |
| Pass accuracy | 79% |
A confident and tricky winger with the ability to carry the ball past players and score, as well as being able to bring his teammates into the attack; Rangers’ cutting edge would be significantly blunter without him.
He’s brought a whole number of traits to this 2025-26 Gers side, but perhaps one that is becoming a bit of a trademark over anything else is his penchant for late goals.
Indeed, five of his six Scottish Premiership strikes have come in the second half of games this season, with the earliest he’s found the net in the league in 2025-26 being in the 14th minute against Dundee on matchday 12.

Two of his goals have arrived between the 76th and 90th minute, with one coming in stoppage time in the 5-1 win over Kilmarnock on 4 February.
He’s also found the net once between the 46th and 60th minute, and once between the 61st and 75th minute respectively.
More Moore late goals can secure him Rangers cult hero status
What good title run-in doesn’t include a number of late twists and dramatic last-minute goals?
You see it every year across world football: titles and relegations being decided by kicks of the football in the dying seconds of matches.
So, given how tight it is at the top of the Scottish Premiership table as we head towards the split, nobody should be surprised to see the 2025-26 champions of Scotland wearing a crown adorned with the gems of late goals.

If Rangers are to end the season standing at the summit, then that’s sure to have seen them collect a few more of these on their final ascent, and given his track record for them this term, Moore could be the most likely to deliver them.
Should he do so, that would undoubtedly seal himself in Rangers folklore forever as the teenage Tottenham loanee who popped up in the closing stages to snatch difference-making points.
