Derek Ferguson hits nail on head with post-split fixture attitude after Rangers uproar
Derek Ferguson is right to brush off the post-split fixtures as somewhat irrelevant after Rangers‘ recent uproar about the situation.
Only once in the past 16 seasons has the team top of the Scottish Premiership table at the split break then gone on to play away from home on the final day of the season.
That could be the case for Danny Rohl‘s men, who play Falkirk away before the break, with the Bears set for the same fixture on gameweek 38.
Hearts could also be top of the table for the break, but they also travel to face Celtic for their last game, which has left supporters feeling aggrieved for both the Jambos and Gers.
However, Rangers’ fixtures cannot be changed, and as Ferguson suggests, the players and fans need to march into the games with confidence.

Derek Ferguson suggests Rangers must ignore and get on with fixtures
The Scottish Premiership seems to have broken their usual tradition in handing Celtic the final day advantage over Gers and Hearts.
But the truth is that the Bears are in a better position than the Hoops, and if they can’t do their own job in the five games after the break, then none of it will matter.

While speaking on Open Goal this Thursday, Ferguson explained why teams shouldn’t be bothered about the fixture release.
The former Rangers star said: “When the fixtures come out, they didn’t bother me. It is what it is, isn’t it? The games are in front of you; embrace them.
“What do you think the players think? See, as a player, I couldn’t be [bothered] with that”.
He’s right, and so long as the Bears do their part, it won’t matter in the end.

It’s as simple as if Rangers win all their games, they win the league.
What points are Rangers currently predicted to finish on?
Danny Rohl is now up to 20 wins in 34 games as Rangers boss, with only seven losses during that time.
His record averages a 59 per cent win ratio with a 2.0 points per game rate. Rangers are currently on 66 points, and an average of two points in each of the next six games would see them finish on 78 points.
Celtic won the league with 92 points to their name last season, and Gers are going to need at least over 80 points to ensure they win the league.
Either way, it will go down to the wire, and will be a fascinating end to what has been a thrilling season.
