Barry Ferguson reacts to Rangers post-split fixtures as Falkirk away surprises
Barry Ferguson is surprised Rangers have to travel to Falkirk for the third time on the final day of the William Hill Premiership.
The Gers face the Bairns in Westfield on 12 April and have another trip on 16 May, which isn’t something the former Scottish midfielder was expecting.
With two home games and three away matches post-split, Ferguson believes the Light Blues need to make a statement at Tynecastle Park, Celtic Park and Falkirk Stadium to win the league title.
Motherwell are the first of the five opponents the Govan side will face, followed by Hearts, Celtic, Hibernian and John McGlynn’s team.
Danny Rohl must first get past Falkirk in the upcoming league game and then continue their impressive form to pip Hearts to the top spot in the table.

Danny Rohl on the brink of the impossible at Rangers
When Rohl was appointed at the Gers, they were 13 points behind Hearts in the William Hill Premiership.
Russell Martin got the Light Blues off to one of their worst league starts in history, leaving their title hopes in tatters after just seven games.
At that point, it was unthinkable for fans in Govan to imagine their team would have any chance of competing for silverware, let alone be so close to winning number 56 this season.
| Team | Matches Played | Goal Difference | Points |
| 1. Hearts | 32 | 28 | 67 |
| 2. Rangers | 32 | 32 | 66 |
| 3. Celtic | 32 | 23 | 64 |
The German manager has made what seemed impossible at one point into a realistic demand from supporters who have been through some rough times in recent months.
It’s all in the Glaswegian outfit’s hands, and if they win their next six matches, they will be crowned champions of Scotland.
Reacting instantly to the post-split fixtures on Five Stars VIP on 7 April, Ferguson said, “They’re all hard fixtures. If you want to win trophies, you need to go to places like Celtic Park, Tynecastle and obviously back to Falkirk, which was a bit of a surprise for me because we play Falkirk on Sunday. It’s the third trip to Falkirk.”
Danny Rohl has good reason to be confident at Ibrox
Ryan Naderi scored for Rangers against Dundee United, bagging his first league goal in Scotland in the 4-2 victory.

Youssef Chermiti replaced the former Hansa Rostock forward at the break and provided an assist, while Bojan Miovski also came off the bench and scored late on to seal the three points at Ibrox.
Before the international break, many fans in G51 were concerned about their misfiring number nines, but they’ll surely be in much better spirits now.
Football is often uncertain and things can change in a matter of days, although momentum is on the side of the Gers in the final stretch of the season.
