Rangers have Falkirk banana skin awaiting them as Danny Rohl looks to snap three league-game winless run

Rangers haven’t beaten Falkirk in any of their last three league games, ahead of their meeting in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

In the final game before the Scottish Premiership split, Danny Rohl‘s Rangers are in an excellent position in the table.

Sitting second and primed to pounce following Hearts’ 2-2 draw with Livingston on Easter Sunday, Gers have firmly put their double Old Firm disappointments behind them with three league wins on the spin.

Aberdeen and Dundee United were both hit for four by a Rangers attack that is purring right now, and looks more than capable of firing them to their first league title since 2021.

However, they mustn’t look past Falkirk this weekend, as the sixth-placed side have had Rangers’ number in their recent matches.

What is Rangers’ recent league record against Falkirk?

Rangers drew 0-0 with Falkirk in their most recent league clash in November 2025, in what was still the early days of Rohl’s reign at Ibrox.

Gers flung 14 shots at the Bairns’ goal that day, but only four were on target, as the boys in blue simply couldn’t find a way past Falkirk goalkeeper Scott Bain.

Since then, Falkirk have been hit and miss, with inconsistent performances and results preventing them from pushing on higher in the table to this point.

John McGlynn’s men have won one, drawn one and lost one in their last three league games to evidence this, but were able to take all three points with a 3-2 win against Motherwell on Saturday.

As such, they’ll be coming into Sunday’s game confident and in good spirits, and why wouldn’t they be? Especially when they take a look at the head-to-head league form between these two teams.

Indeed, Rangers haven’t beaten Falkirk in any of their last three league meetings, dating back to when this was a Scottish Championship fixture in March 2016.

The 0-0 draw last time out was preceded by a 1-1 stalemate in October 2025, but then you have to go back to 18 March 2016 to find the next time that these two contested a league game.

That was a second tier showdown in Falkirk, where the Bairns beat Gers 3-2, with Kenny Miller and Barrie McKay scoring the Rangers goals that day.

However, Gers have had intervening cup wins against Falkirk in 2020 and 2018 respectively, with both of those games seeing them hit the Bairns for four goals.

Rangers defence must be ready for dangerous Falkirk attack

Going by the league table, Falkirk’s defence is as good as their attack, with an equal 42 goals scored and conceded this season.

However, their forward line is certainly to thank for many of their recent points, with no clean sheet kept in their last seven games in all competitions.

The biggest dangers are the trio of Ben Broggio, Calvin Miller and Barney Stewart respectively, with all three of them in goal contributions form.

Broggio, a 19-year-old Aston Villa loanee, has three goals and one assist from eight Premiership games since signing for them in the winter window, and netted in their 3-2 win over Motherwell last time out.

Miller has five goals and eight assists in the league this term, and bagged a goal and an assist in the Motherwell win.

Meanwhile, Stewart has been in inspired form since returning from his loan spell with Dunfermline in January, scoring eight times in 13 league games, as well as notching two assists, and he also scored against Motherwell.

This is not going to be an easy game for Rangers at all.
