Danny Rohl has Rangers on course for Scottish Premiership glory as goalscoring woes silenced
Danny Rohl has seemingly addressed concerns over Rangers’ ability to score goals, and that has put them on course to win the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers are still behind Hearts by one point, but with performances improving over recent weeks, the Govan-based club will be full of confidence.
Rangers have begun to look more cutting-edge and that revelation could not have come at a better time.
While the Jam Tarts have looked to be favourites for most of the season, they may be fearing the Bears.
Now, with key Rangers fixtures on the horizon before and after the split, Rohl has seemingly sorted out the largest issue at Ibrox. Scoring goals.

How Rangers have become more threatening in the final third
Over the last two games, Rangers have catapulted themselves into being the highest goal scorers in the Scottish Premiership.
Before that pair of games, the G51 outfit was four goals behind Celtic and level with Hearts. They were also underperforming their xG.
| Rangers goalscoring in first 30 SPFL matches | Total |
| Goals scored | 52 |
| Goals per game | 1.7 |
| xG performance | -2.2 |
Over the last two games, Rangers have scored eight goals. Additionally, they have created a combined 5.5 xG as per Sofascore.
So while those goals have come through fine finishing, evidenced by the overperformance of 2.5 goals, it also showcases that they are creating plenty of chances too.
Rangers’ total xG over the season now showcases an overperformance, even if it is a minuscule number such as 0.01.

Rohl’s side have created 10 big chances over their last two fixtures, and the German has clearly found a way to make his side more dangerous where it matters most.
Addressing this key concern could certainly be the difference-maker amid the title race. However, the manager must now continue this trend, rather than it being a two-game outlier.
Rangers need a goalscoring run from their strikers
Although the last two games have been promising in the final third, the Gers will still need someone to step up on a consistent basis in terms of goals.
So far, Youssouf Chermiti and Bojan Miovski have failed to be that player. However, Ryan Naderi could step up.
The German scored his first goal in the Scottish Premiership against Dundee United, but Naderi’s injury could now halt momentum.

Fans will be eagerly awaiting updates from their manager ahead of a crucial league split campaign.
If Naderi is fit to play and can use the confidence from his first goal, he could fire Rangers to their 56th league title.
