Mikey Moore leads Rangers players’ tributes as Findlay Curtis in career first with Scotland

Mikey Moore has delivered a short message to Rangers‘ out-on-loan star Findlay Curtis as he made his first cap for the Scottish national team.

Curtis is currently playing for Kilmarnock as he looks for more minutes ahead of this year’s World Cup, as well as next season for the Gers.

The Rangers starlet was a surprise inclusion in Steve Clarke’s squad for Scotland’s friendlies against Japan and Ivory Coast, of which he made his debut against the former.

Curtis will certainly have added confidence about his chances of making the World Cup squad, and encouragement from fellow Rangers stars such as Moore will boost his self-belief too.

However, current Rangers loanee Moore was not the only person to deliver Curtis a message following this achievement, as a wave of players joined in as well.

What did Mikey Moore say to Findlay Curtis after Scotland debut?

As Scotland took on Japan at Hampden Park, Rangers academy prospect Curtis made what is hopefully the first of many caps for the Tartan Army.

Unfortunately, he was not called upon to make his second this international break as Scotland lost 1-0 to the Ivory Coast on 31 March.

However, Curtis won’t mind too much, with the young talent clearly over the moon with making his debut, sharing his thoughts with an Instagram post, stating: “Honoured to get my 1st cap for Scotland. Hopefully many more”

Moore, who was only at Ibrox for six months alongside Curtis, has seemingly already built a strong friendship with the 19-year-old.

The Tottenham loanee replied to his Instagram post with a simple message, stating: “Yes mate.”

Other Rangers-adjacent responses include one from Connor Barron, who left two applauding emojis in his message. Tochi Chukwuani left the same, but his emojis were preceded by him saying: “Yes lad.”

Additionally, former Rangers academy graduate Robbie Fraser told Curtis: “Love it son, keep pushing.”

Overall, Curtis has seen plenty of love after he reached this important career milestone by stepping onto the pitch for his country.

How has Curtis been getting on while out on loan?

Curtis’ loan at Kilmarnock has certainly been eventful, with the 19-year-old featuring in four different positions over just seven appearances.

He has featured at right-back, right midfield, centre-forward and left midfield.

However, he has been impressing with the Gers loanee starting in six of those seven outings for Killie.

So far, Curtis has registered both a goal and an assist since making the temporary switch out of Ibrox.

Overall, the move seems to be going well, with his short stint so far enough to catch the eye of Scotland manager Clarke.

Curtis will now be eyeing a larger role at Rangers next season and hopefully a first international tournament this summer.
