Rabbi Matondo: Rangers forward officially cleared for exit, can make instant SK Brann debut
Rabbi Matondo will be eligible to play for SK Brann from Wednesday after leaving Rangers on a permanent transfer.
While the Norwegian outfit haven’t officially announced the Wales international’s arrival, his move has been confirmed by the Football Association of Norway and he can feature for the Eliteserien club from 1 April.
As Ibrox News have reported, Brann have already registered Matondo and aren’t worried about the 31 March deadline in Norway.
BA have claimed that all paperwork is in order for the 25-year-old’s move to Bergen and he’s expected to arrive closer to the weekend and be available for the game against HamKam on 6 April.
Matondo’s chapter at Ibrox has apparently come to a close and it can be argued that his exit should have happened a few seasons ago.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
Andrew Cavenagh slowly starting to set things right at Rangers
Matondo has been part of the Gers’ deadwood for a few years, but they haven’t been able to get rid of him.
The previous management was criticised for much of their business in the transfer market, with fans frustrated by the lack of direction in the player-trading model.
| Transfer window | Player signed | Money spent |
| Summer | 12 | £25m |
| Winter | 4 | £11m |
Oscar Cortes and Jose Cifuentes are among the other names who can arguably be considered failures of the previous regime at the Light Blues.
Andrew Cavenagh seems to be taking a no-nonsense approach at the Glaswegian outfit, having sent Kieran Dowell and Ben Davies away, with their contracts at Ibrox expiring at the end of the season.
Joe Rothwell has also been sent back to the Championship just a few months after signing for the Govan side last summer, highlighting that the American owners aren’t afraid to make amends.
Danny Rohl can have no complaints at Ibrox
Cavenagh has shown immense faith in Rohl, and rightfully so, with the German manager doing the unthinkable by getting Rangers back into title contention in the William Hill Premiership.

The Gers signed Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens, Andreas Skov Olsen and Ryan Naderi in the winter transfer window to help their push for silverware this season.
It looks like the Glaswegian outfit’s chairman is gearing up for another busy summer and Rohl may have no excuses for a lack of success in the upcoming campaign.
Fans in G51 have been desperate to see the Light Blues do well and it looks like they finally have the right owners to get back to the top of Scottish football.
